Scammers Defraud 7,000 Applicants Seeking NPC Ad-hoc Jobs.

Internet fraudsters have targeted at least 7,000 applicants seeking the National Population Commission (NPC’s) ad-hoc jobs ahead of the National Population Census in Nasarawa State.

This was disclosed by the NPC commissioner for the state, Mr Silas Agara, when he appeared on Option FM 92:3 FM Akwanga’s programmer, “Matters Arising” on Tuesday.

He said more than 70,000 persons applied for the 15,000 NPC’s ad-hoc jobs allocated to the state.

He said tentatively 70,782 job seekers applied to serve as supervisors and enumerators during the exercise.

He, however, said the number of ad-hoc staff required for the exercise in the state is 7,000 across all the 13 local government areas of the state.
