Plots to deny Akpabio Senate President seat thickens as outgoing President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan and his deputy, Ovie Omo-Agege plan to amend Senate Standing Orders to favour a first timer rather than ranking senator.
Recall Senator Akpabio visited Sen. Ahmad Lawan seeking his support to emerge as his successor but he declined, instead support and sponsor another senator from South South to emerge Senate President.
My position is that whosoever God has blessed, no man can curse. Godswill Akpabio is a man of grace and the President-elect is comfortable to work with him, Ahmad Lawan and Omo-Agege cannot decide otherwise, even though the decision is specifically that of Senators. Already, Akpabio being a political strategist has won majority of the Senator-elect to his side. He already has two votes from home based and will sweep with overwhelming majority. We are following the real politicking.
