For decades, Nigerian pastors have been claiming that the name of Jesus can do all things, that they (the pastors) have hill the crippled, the blind, etc with just the name Jesus. This claim has been for years accepted as truth without scrutiny and any critical investigation into it, just because we are in a Christian society, and such claim massages our Christian ego even if they are false.
It’s actually a surprise that for months now that Mathias have been asking for just one evidence of any known cripple or blind person that was healed through Jesus name (not like the ones we see on TV and crusades that no one knows anything about them and their claimed sickness), non of the pastors till today was able to provide one, just one.
Mathias also brought a disabled lady and publicly declared that if any pastor heals the lady, that pastor will receive millions of naira reward, and that he (Mathias) will convert to Christianity. After that one pastor declared interest to heal the lady, but after sometime he ran away from the task.
Hence, till today, no pastor has declared any interest. Meanwhile, according to some of them, like one known as Bro. Chigbo, his God don’t accept childish challenge, but it seems Chigbo himself is not well grounded in the bible because Mathias being willing to accept Jesús if the lady could be heal isn’t a childish play. He should not also forget how Elijah was said to have honored such challenge by Prophets of Baal. It also funny that people like Bro. Chigbo are giving excuses not to honor such challenge, but even at that, why not provide the ones that were heal in the past, or have they all died?
Lesson: It doesn’t matter your religion and how much you believe in it, reality keeps being reality. Religion is a game, the faithful’s are the pawns, and programmed to hate those who tell them the truth that contradicts their faith.
I’m not asking you not to be a Christian or whatever, but don’t allow it to make you lose your rationale. Jesus name does nothing except in your head. You may doubt this, but a part of your rational mind will always understand it’s true. The way you believe in Jesús is the way Muslim faithful’s believe in their own God, and me and you knows that the name of their God is useless when it comes to pragmatic realities, but somehow you don’t want to believe yours is useless in that aspect too.
Gods can’t do for men what men should do for themselves, irrespective of how men wishes they do.
