PRESS RELEASE, 24th Nov, 2022: Yesterday, I filed a Suit at the High Court of Abia State, Umuahia against Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, the DG of National Intelligence Agency (NIA) for his tortious role in the 8 days ‘false imprisonment’ of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in Kenya. The Suit is prompted by newly discovered evidence that implicated the Mr. Abubakar beyond the infamous extraordinary rendition. Of the several Suits that erupted from the rendition of Nnamdi Kanu, this is the first against Ahmed Abubakar, either in his personal or official capacity.
